I have a dream: to have everyone in the world to understand the Chinese word “Kaopu” — 靠谱。Just like people understand Kongfu, Toufu and Confucius. While I’m typing these words I found it is fun that Kongfu, Toufu and Confucius all have “fu”.
What is Kaopu? I cannot give a definitive explanation yet. It is very similar to “reliable”, “trustworthy” and “integrity”. This word is from Beijing local dialects. With mobile internet and social network it is widely adopted by many Chinese now. Obviously Kaopu is a good character.
As a founder and CEO, or simply put, a business leader, I believe Kaopu is a good character that any business individual should value. So far I didn’t find any English counter part to describe it. It is more than integrity, more than reliable. So here came my dream, I want to work with a group of people, to have as many people as possible to understand this word world-wide. So the business world gets better, the society gets better.
